Society for Biology of Reproduction (Towarzystwo Biologii Rozrodu; TBR) was established on September 15th, 1998. The first Society meeting took place in 1999. Since 2002 the Society members meet regularly every 3 years.

The Society aims to initiate and carry out all activities facilitating the development of human and animal reproductive biology, in particular:
•    dissemination and popularization of scientific achievements
•    supporting scientific creativity
•    initiating, supporting, and conducting the exchange of experiences and scientific cooperation with foreign countries.

In the last 26 years, several important activities have been established by the Society, such as:
•    Medal of the Society for Biology of Reproduction awarded for scientific excellence in the field of reproductive biology or organizational work for the Society;
•    Prof. Władysław Bielański Award for the best experimental publication/series of publications by young researchers working in Poland;
•    Internships covering costs of scientific visits available for all members of the Society.
